VenuePay — Payment Analytics & Fraud Prevention Admin Portal

A microservice-based admin portal giving fraud analysts real-time transaction visibility and sub-second user blocking across an e-commerce payment gateway.

The Problem

Business and fraud teams had no visibility into payment transactions and could not block bad actors without raising an engineering ticket — causing delays in fraud response and no self-service analytics for revenue teams.

Project Overview

Built VenuePay, a microservice-based web admin portal for an e-commerce payment gateway that enables business teams to track transactions and block fraudulent users without engineering intervention.

The portal provides granular transaction visibility — showing what users purchased, how much they spent, on which items, and through which payment methods. The transaction analytics dashboard delivers instant revenue summaries, spending patterns, and drill-down capabilities into individual purchases.

The user blocking module allows fraud analysts to block bad actors across multiple dimensions: email address, IP address, phone number, and domain. Blocks propagate to the payment gateway in under one second through a real-time push-based architecture, ensuring immediate enforcement with no delays.
